I'm fairly new at this game only owning my first one, a Hymer T552CL for 18 months, now on second Hymer, a B544 which we intend on keeping for next 10 years till we get to 70.

If they were so good then, they'd still make them.I think if you brought new a motor of any description around 2000 or before with out all the electronic stuff there is good chance it will last longer than anything new today.
