You've picked a cracking wee spot next to Loch Ken mate & ideal for your kayaks. Was really nice to meet you guys & I've got to thank you for sharing your hints & tips. (y)

Hi where were you wild camping currently in Castleton we come here a lot would be great to know where you can wild camp

There are lots of great cycle trails in Derbyshire, mostly old railway lines so inclines are very gradual.
Along these are carparks and I usually use these without problem. Some are just the carpark, others have a shop / cafe / cycle hire / toilets. I usually use the basic ones and I find them very peaceful.
They are all pay and display despite what the web site says and there are signs saying no overnight parking or camping but so long as you are respectful of your surroundings I don`t think you will have a problem.
I always expect to see the man from the council coming round in the evenings to empty the cash box but never seen him. I`m sure if you have a bit of friendly banter he`ll be fine about you being there.

We're living in the moho on the drive of our new bungalow at the seaside in Sussex. The house needs major refurb so Harvey will be our home for the next few weeks.

Looking forward to Shrewsbury this weekend to get a break from pulling things out/down.
