Weighbridges - where? (1 Viewer)

For those of you that have had their motorhomes weighed where do you go?

I have tried googling but cannot find any near me. North East Surrey ( near J9 of M25)

Most big scrap yards have them

Do you have a local council tip ? All the bigger ones have a weigh bridge to weigh in and out the refuse lorries

Coal yards

VOSA depots ( but if you think you might be over weight going there would probably not be the best idea ! )

Errr.. I just did a search and found this:

It is a planning application for something else but at least you now know there is actually one right there !
I would get close to it, and simply ask someone

I use Farmway which is a big agricultural depot near me. You will probably have something similar near to you. Any place where big wagons load up stuff may have one. Even some farms have them. Costs be a fiver to weight the whole van and both front and rear axles independantly with a print out of all three weights which I keep in the glove box. You could of course drive to the swiss border where they will almost definatly weigh you for free!

All local councils have a record of weighbridges (as they have to check them once a year)

Theres the council one in Guildford from M25 junction 10 come off the A3 town centre turnoff turn right towards Woking about 150 mtrs on your right there is the coucil yard used it twice did not have to book cant remeber how much it cost got all the info i needed on a proper print out. cheers Lawrence:thumb:

As you are not that far away from the M23/A23 there is a free VOSA one on the A23 Northbound between Cuckfield and Pease Pottage just after the Slaugham junction.

I use it whenever I need great location availbale 24hours, I just head down to Cuckfield double back and bingo
