You didn't say when you'r going.

Plenty of sites close to Matlock & Bakewell but in winter ????

CCC site at Youlgreave is nice but closed in winter I think.

Not sure when were going not neccasarily winter. Was looking for somewere in Matlock spa (or is it Matlock bath) rather than Matlock itself.

Matlock Bath.

Lovely place. But in a steep valley so not good terrain for campsites. Someone asked this last year and there were one or two surprised - try search.

hi,lickpenny at tansley is a great site 2 miles from matlock 4 miles matlock bath.campsite has veiws to die for,garden centre 2mins walk for breakfast or teas,bit expensive but lovely.bus at end of lane.hope this helps.muz

Hi ips,Muz is right,We stayed there in October in our RV.It is a nice site and very friendly owners .google Lickpenny caravan park Tansley. site is set out on a gradient,higher up the better the view.Andy

Hurt Arms

The Hurt Arms at Ambergate,catch the train across the road for Matlock £1.50 return, also a chinese buffet restaurant and of course the pub restaurant itself, EHU £7.00 per night top of the season.

hi theres a very nice sight just outside bakewell on your way to matlock its called grouse and claret through bakewell on the main road just after dual carriage way on left right behind grouse and claret public house which does very good food electric and showers cant find phone number sorry (YOU PAY THE SIGHT FEES IN THE PUB):thumb:
