I know it's an old post but...
Is this still an 'Aire' or similar? Looking to stop somewhere around here next weekend.

It was about £10 per night in winter but I think it will be more like £15 this time of year
£20 facing the sea, £15 at the back of the car park.
They have certainly wound it up was only a fiver when it started, expensive for no facilities.

i was there 4 days ago and parked overnight facing the sea on the seafront for £15.
A mate was there last week and that's what he read on the sign perhaps he needs to go to specsavers.:)
Still expensive has you have to pay another £10 to park for the day, he was on the campsite £23.50 inc EHU.

used the campsites in hayling=not nice, river creek reminded me of a prison, and all are a long waaaaaaay from a beach.
as a legal overnight stop its good value, wish there were more forward thinking councils.

Stayed at Hayling Island 6 weeks ago and it cost me £15 to park where no one else wants to park between 10pm and 8am.

It may be a forward thinking council but it's also another example of 'Rip Off Britain'

I only paid £18 the following night for a full service campsite.

I don't need to tell you what we get for 7 or 8 Euros in France... far better facilities than this.

I'm more than happy to pay my way for decent parking spots, and this is a decent spot but way too expensive for my liking.

it used to be a fiver a night but after pressure from campsite owners the council raised the price to £15 a night.

I used to stay overnight for free but paid to park the other night few weeks back suited me fine. I often for a quick night away now go the other side to Eastney because its handy and free.
