Hi all
Has anyone tried the new nitrogen tyre inflation system and if so.

1. How often do you can to top up the pressure?
2. What is the initially cost of the inflation and subsequent top ups?

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Myrddin, this has been discussed before, and the general opinion was that its an advertising gimmick, with no benefits at all unless you intend to drag it. ::bigsmile:

Hi all

I had it on my panel van conversion (for free) about 4 yrs ago. They said as the molecules were larger than air, less gas would escape. Rubbish! I still had to top them up a few months later so if you have to pay for it don't bother!:Eeek:

Agree with previous posts, unless your a F1 driver a waste of money.. and as air is already 78% nitrogen.. but I like this quote :::

Oh, there are plenty of benefits: :thumb:

(1) Cool fluorescent green valve stem caps (assuming your nitrogen vendor has any marketing savvy), which will look sharp with your spinning wheel covers. (2) Bragging rights. OK, you were behind the curve with cell phones, iPods, thong underwear, etc. Nitrogen in tires is relatively new to the mass market. Now's your chance. (3) Reduced fire danger next time you land your space shuttle or commercial aircraft, and tell me you won't sleep better knowing that... :roflmto:

it been used quite succesfully for well over 100 years.

go to your local fuel station and ask where the nitrogen tyre inflater is....:roflmto:

Better than anything we found in our christmas crackers....

"Why did the hen cross the road?"
"To prove it wasn't chicken"
Now be honest; was that even groanworthy??
