It's where Gandalf battles the fire monster Balrog on the bridge in the Dwarves underground kingdom.

Main roads and motorway seem to be OK. Side roads are problematical if they haven't been gritted, though it seems to be thawing fast at the moment.

I'm off up north tomorrow, so I'm hoping M74/mate are the same.

Have a good trip if you decide to come up.

mate was closed at Stirling (i think thats it) today. bad weather.
