Hi everyone,

One of the many brilliant things about long term touring is all the great people you meet.

They are mostly all so interesting...

I have just met a great couple who have been on the road for twenty years and the knowledge base they have built up is phenomenal!

They gave me a tip on a special park up and asked me to keep it under my hat. I am at the spot now and I think it is truly special!

I can see that if it became well known it would soon be inundated with motorhomes which could easily upset the locals who use the spot for fishing and mooring their boats etc. This in turn could lead to us vanners being banned.

On the other hand I am dying to let others know of it so they too can enjoy the experience I am having now.

What do you people think?

PS. It is pretty tricky to find... you wouldn't just "come across it."

PPS... I tried to edit the heading of the post (which reads really badly!!) but couldn't.

keep it to yourself or only pass on by word of mouth the internet will kill all the great spots if we don't watch it. We can all find our own spots, finding them is half the fun, part of the exploration.

I agrre with wildman about posting it on the net but just share it with a few who you can trust not to spread the word and spoil it for those in the know

a special place won't be special long once you tell anyone.. even by word of mouth it will spread like wildfire ..
