Whilst trying to turn my green roof white again I noticed that the aluminium sheet on the front right quarter of the roof has separated from the ply and has formed a bubble which is slightly raised and rippled as I washed it. Also noted a slight delamination at the back as the edge rounded down onto the rear panel.

There are no leaks and everything works as advertised but should I be concerned? I am minded to leave well alone.... What do you think?

Could be one hell of a job though? I would have to unseal the front section and side sections, stick it down and hopefully get the reseal right...

i seem to think when the ally is used on the roof it is only attached around the edges
and around openings to make them watertight
which allows for expansion whichever way ally needs to expand
i could be wrong but i would enquire from the manufacturer first

I think you've got it in one.....

If it were bonded to the material underneath, the differing rate of expansion would soon break the bond during our very hot summers...

hard work now but a lot harder when the roof section has to be replaced in a year or two

I don't agree with John this time, I would leave well alone. But I do have to bow to his superiority on roofs
he does seem to spend a lot of time on them:Doh::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
