a question for you hardy winter campers.

do any of you use an electric blanket in the van ?

just bought one from argos for the house and if we ever get away in winter we'll use it in the van too.
why we didnt buy years ago is a mystery.

it has 2 heat settings, normal and boost with overheat protection and can be used all night but it gets too warm.
the 'owners' manual (not very many pages...:roflmto:) says on 'normal' it will cost approx 1p for an 8hr night.

its a real pleasure going to bed now!!!!:winky:

We used to use these when we had the flat, we didnt have central heating then just one open coal fire. Dont know what we would have done without it.

In some cases however I was told that heated blankets can cause chillblains

You also need to make sure you have it electrically tested every year as they can be the cause of fires.

Thanks
