We love Scotland and have been to The Hebrides, The Orkneys, The Shetlands as well as the Cairngorms and the west coast.
We discovered an excellent book written by Eva McCracken called "Walking on Wheels." Eva has MS like Sue and has written this lovely book of 5/6 mile walks all over Scotland suitable for disability scooters and carers. We love the area around Loch Morlich, and to sit drinking tea and watching red squirrels feed from our feeders is heaven. There are some lovely walks from The Forest camp site.
We are heading to The Shetlands in June where the little roads are perfect for walking or as we do Scooter and electric bike.
There is also "Miles without Stiles," a similar publication set in various places in the UK and "Walking with Wheels," a similar book. We also find cycle routes handy as well as canal footpaths and old railway lines.

At Portmoak gliding club they have a charity "Walking on Air" where wheelchair uses can learn to fly or at least have a trial lesson. Recommended.

What a fabulous idea. We often say, if you're going to be disabled, now is the time.

It is something you will never ever forget, the scenery from above Portmoak is stunning. I've helped wheelchair users there, just the normal help a fit person would get, like hooking up the launch cable. They insisted on getting from wheelchair to glider unaided, then off they go, the equal of any pilot in the sky.

Plenty of space for a MH.
