Hi all, We are in the process of buying an Autotrial Cheyenne 840S, which we pick up beginning of January,and as we are new to this I need some advise
1. Best route from St Malo to southern Spain
2. Some good campsite in that area
3. What's the best way to get internet connection when abroad (layman terms please)

I leave shortly for Iberia !!!

1....Only use route national roads..(tolls are expensive)
2....Very few campsites open.Use Aires !!!
3....A dongle is the only way !!!
I always google for accurate information !!!

Autoroute 2007 with the 'No Tolls' option shows this. You didn't say where in Spain so I just entered Irun - Franco-Spanish border on the west coast.

Don't really know where would be best to go, this is all very new to us, any suggestion as where to start our adventure and get some sun in southern Spain would be much appreciated. We have actually sold our house and intend to do this full time for a couple of years. The onlhy experiance we have had of motorhoming was 4 weeks in Canada and America in 1991 which we thoroughly enjoyed.:thumb:

I've had a look at ACSI from a couple of years ago (2008) and there is a site purported to be open at Salamanca and another a bit south of Sevilla. Unfortunately the site at Segovia, which is worth a visit, isn't open outside of the warmer times. From Sevilla you have the option of going to Costa de la Luz (Huelva) and possibly into Portugal, or the other direction to the Casta del Sol (Fuengirola, Malaga, et al).

I made the somewhat arbitrary assumption that you would want to see a bit on your way down. If you don't fancy the Ruta de Plata there's always south from Burgos, through Madrid and on to Malaga, but I would recommend a stop at Aranjuez (just S. of Madrid).

As suggested for France, the Aires are useful - there's a book available (from Vicarious Books, discount for Funsters) called All the Aires of France. There is another, which is apparently better but you need to understand French (can't remember what it's called).
