CD only not working on Alpine CD/Nav (1 Viewer)

Previous owner fitted an Alpine radio/CD/DVD/Sat system. Everything worked fine (we thought) when in the UK when we listen to the radio. However, in France, we decided to play CDs as no BBC radio.

Unit read the CD, showing playing and list of tracks etc but no sound. Sound ok on radio and for directions on sat nav. As head unit seems to be functioning, seems like it is an amplifier problem and hopefully a simple connection issue. Any ideas what to check for and how to access the amplifier?

Sorted. Disconnected the cab battery to fit charger leads and after battery reconnected, CD worked faultlessly. A variation of "turning it off and on again".

That aint an Alpine, its a Microsoft with an Alpine badge on it !!
