Hi JPH1
Welcome to the site you will find plenty of good info on here, I wont recommend any particular type, (in case I'm wrong lol) but the bigger the better but you must match up as if not they will only charge to the lower rated one. Pete:thumb::thumb:

As you are waiting untill March then I assume its a new van which will have the leisure battery already fitted, unless you are thinking about an extra one.

Do you mean buy an extra battery ?

Otherwise you'll get one free with your new van.

If you want an extra one the usual advice is match it to the other as close as possible so you need to hope the original is the best they could supply.

Or am I totally wrong and the cheapskates don't supply a leisure battery with a new van ?

Hi JPH1, don't worry about batteries yet. You wlll find that motorhomes get used a LOT more that caravans so don't suffer as much with battery issues. March!! That's a long time to wait! Hope the time flies for you but i have a feeling it wont. Meanwhile welcome to the fun:thumb:

Hi and welcome to the site, don't forget we have a chatroom. It always surprises me that caravaner's do not use solar panels to keep their batteries in good order. A motorhome is used more often, or at least should be however all batteries have a natural wastage and if left for long periods without being kept topped up will die on you. Solar reigns supreme.
