Despite my best efforts to the contrary, I am starting to find myself involuntarily coverting the idea of A-class motorhome ownership, typically those with a large lounge area and drop down bed layout.

I was initially drawn to the Hymer B544, but as fairly contemporary models seem almost as rare as rocking horse waste produce, priced accordingly when the odd example does surface, does anyone have real world experiences of the Burstner Aviano i645 which they can share? Are these comparable with the Hymer in terms of quality etc? Anything to be wary of?

Thanks for any pointers.

I am also considering a 6.5m ish A class. The two on my list were the Hymer of a Rapido 9048. I will watch this thread with interest. I went in a much bigger Aviano last week and was very impressed with it.

There is also a frankia model 640? That is very similar to the hymer 644.

Well, after studious research (yeah right) and clocking up the miles looking at various dealers forecourts (that bit is true), we've now bitten the bullet and put a deposit on a 2011 Burstner Aviano i645. If all goes well, we should pick it up in mid December. What could possibly go wrong... ;)

Larry, where were you at the start of October when I was attempting to solicit input? It's too late to interject now, decisions have been made, deals agreed and monies exchanged! ;)
