I accidently typed motorhome fun.com into my address bar instead of motorhomefun & was redirected to motorhome facts

Has my browser been hijacked or is there another explanation?

Edit -

OMG - I've just submitted my post & all the url's have changed to those above. What's going on?

In a nutshell - the other forum owns " .com" - having bought it before Jim could get to it.

But it doesn't matter now that you know - .com is a no-go area - unless you are a member of the 'Other Side'.

As a newcomer, I think I get the picture!

Will I get thrown off here for just admitting that I look at another forum? What happens if I subscribe to both?

No, When I purchased motorhomeun.co.uk, the motorhomefun.com domain was not available, it was owned by someone in the states. I then thought no more of it but somehow the owner of motorhomefacts managed to buy it.

He now points that fun domain toward his facts domain. He has probably managed to steal a lot of potential funsters that way. What a dirty, low-down deceitful, clever bugger he is:roflmto::roflmto:

You simply cannot subscribe to both - being as this one - The better one - is FREE!

You are at leisure to spend your money in any way that you see fit - but when one costs a tenner and one is free - I ask you, which is better value?

Please be careful - The sophisticated cookie software we use ensures that you can only use the one forum. Your hard drive will be formatted if you visit them again.

Whilst we have a bit of banter between the forums it means nothing. whilst one or two people from either site might have grievances, the vast majority do not, we are all motorhomers, we mix at meets and share friendships across the Forums. That includes the site owners. There is no Fun- Facts fight. ::bigsmile:

Johnee, there are plenty of facts subscribers who come here for a bit of fun. It would be inhuman to deny them that.::bigsmile:

30 years.
We're all known here as Funsters, an indisputable fact,
It's .co, not .com that makes us great, and really that is that.
The 'darkside' is another place, where moderators breed,
but moderators here on 'fun', there really is no need.

Motorhoming is our game, and summer is the time,
when all our vans are on the road, it really is sublime.
Now factsters are not funsters, which really is a shame,
for on the web, and on the road, they have an awful name.

Their rallies are so quiet, the reason is you see,
that all the vans of funsters are parked up by the sea.
The Factsters sites are empty, they have no fun and games,
because the Funsters leader, is a bonny lad named James.

It's Jim that gives us purpose, by having the BEST site
and all the members know this, it really is 'just right'.
So listen all you Factsters if having fun's your aim,
just leave the facts behind you and come and play our game.

You'll really be made welcome, by changing fact to fun,
and all the members on this site, will appreciate what you've done.
So come on then, come join us, you'll not regret at all,
for when you've changed your .com for.co, you'll really have a ball!!

Remind me. how did the poet (Wordsworth) define poetry? "Motions recollected in tranquillity"?

No, silly me, "Emotion recollected in tranquillity". Passing on, well done that home grown poet, and also Jim's adult approach. Great as are the pleasures of childhood, greater yet those of adultery, or if that wrong, too?
