Hello Members

Our small flat low wattage frost protect thermostat control electric heater needs replacing but finding a suitable replacement is proving difficult. They all seem to be 2 or 3 kilowat which is far too much for some hookups which can be as little as 6amps. We do have a low wattage oil filled radiator we use in the back of the van but this is not suitable because of available space to use up the cab end.

We only have a panel van so space is at a premium.

Any recommendations would be welcome. What do you have?

Thanks in advance

We obtained a small radiator from B&Q a while ago I think about 500watt, it fits between the front seats.
We have found this ideal for background heating in the cab area, obviously the coldest part of the van, even with external screens.

Our B&Q had a big stock of 500 watt heaters yesterday. About £13 I think. (About the size of a shoe box)
Couldn't see them on their website though.

might seem a daft suggestion but why not try a few garden centres - they have neat little electric heaters with frost stats for greenhouses

Hello

To everyone who has posted a reply thankyou very much. We are busy looking at all the options now. As the floor of the cab both slopes and is not very level we are going to have to get one of those flat type ones. Safer. Will post when we have ordered. Thanks again for all the replies.
