Hi all
We have been looking at drive away awnings and they all seem so complicated, quite small, and quite expensive
Last weekend we saw a popup gazebo being used as a drive away awning but did not have chance to chat with the owner
Anyone know of a waterproof lightweight pop up gazebo with 4 sides & pref 2 windows that would be suitable ?
We were thinking of approx 3mX 3m in size.

4 and many as a tugger
Nothing better than a Khyam Motordome. Simple and easy to put up. Mine has been up in some very strong winds with no problem at all. Not cheap though.

The Kyham Motordome Excelsior was the way to go for us.
Easy to put up and 3m x 3m in size.

Hi pop up gazebo are no good in windy weather,
a lot of sites won't let you put them up,(to many instances with them)
take a look at the free ads on this forum,(drive away awnings)
they are very easey to erect, (approx 20mins)
the one i have up for sale, perfect condition. Tony

Geo may still have one going cheap.

only problem it need a full set of poles after being totally destroyed in a moderate wind at stratford this year.

photo shows the fun tent and the remains of Geo's pop-up gazebo.

Agree the cheapo little gazebo things are hopeless in even the lightest of breezes, but a half decent pop up suitably nailed to the ground should be ok.. Mine is now 5 years old and was up at the BMF show 4 years ago during that darned gale we had there !!

I bought mine from fleabay for about £40 ( it was from a reputable dealer but an end of line product ) The sides were an extra £30

Have a look at Just Campers - it's really for VW's but we bought an excellent drive-away tent from them. it's got two bedrooms and a large front area. it was about £200 but well worth the money. It's very lightweight and packs into a large holdall sized bag. We bought it to use ion the back of a Landrover Forward Control and plan to use it on our Autocruise MH this year.
