:thumb: Hi all.

I'm looking for a bit of advice ref the water heater in our 1991 Chevy Rockwood RV.
2 weekends ago it was very problamatic in igniting, it runs only on lpg and when the switch is on it ignites and keeps boosting untill the water reaches temperature and then it cuts in and out when neccasary to keep the temperature up. This is what is supposed to happen. However, recently it ignites in about 5 second bursts 2 or 3 times and then will not start again untill the switch is switched on and off again never warming the water at all.
Has any one any ideas as to what the problem can be. I am loathed to take it somewhere to have it fixed with out having some idea what is wrong. We have been taken advantage of in the past and it proved expensive.
Thanks in advance.

Will a guess do ?

I'd guess it lights up, some flame sensor in not detecting the flame, tries again, is designed to give up after 5 goes.

Look for anything that could detect a flame and the wires going to it.

I replaced mine about two years ago, $90 .. same symptoms as you have.

It's a common board and is also used in Norcold / Dometic Fridges, swapping the board over will prove either way.

I bought mine here , first board on the list
