It is a Bank holiday in the US today chatting to my son he has just watched the second episode of the TV series Westworld, from how he described it, it sounds pretty good. About a theme park in which you can enter then play out any fantasy that you desire with human androids. Not giving too much away if I say that androids get so fed up with being abused by humans that they start memorising and starting to fight back. Anyone already seen it?

I haven't watched Game of Thrones because of the high sexual content
I have a Game of Thrones Tee Shirt it is talked about wherever I ware I. I was in a lift with a young waitress in Cyprus she started looking at my chest and chatting I didn't even know I had it on. People come up in all sorts of places and want to talk about the film. A customs man in NY wanted to buy it from me....I don't like to say that I've not seen it, they think I am a fan.:)

Watched the original film made in 73 over the last couple of days and also the first episode of the new series.
The new series looks promising already, it's over 10 episodes, the difference already is a 'guest' who is extremely violent to the robots, there are obviously sub plots.
Needless to say my wife is not interested in my 'crap films', so I get to watch them when she goes to bed.
If you enjoy sci-fi, it's worth a look.

I had an unfortunate incident in Tobago once with a tee shirt.

We were at this posh(ish) hotel and it was the last day of our holiday. I was wearing what I thought was a plain tee shirt I had bought from the hotel shop the day before.

We were in a big queue because the customs officials came to our hotel to check passports etc because I presume the airport was too small to do it there.

Anyway I am minding my own business when suddenly this bloody loud American woman erupts with whoops of joy and shouting "Boy I love that tee shirt" where can I get one etc, etc. I just thought to myself I hope she shuts up soon but then became aware of people looking at me and asking me to turn round etc.

To my horror I discovered my tee shirt had written on the back in large letters IF FOUND : PLEASE RETURN TO TOBAGO.

I would never, ever ever buy that sort of thing knowingly.

Bloody mortified I was:(

As always, is the re-make worth it ?

In the case of the remake of Mad Max ... a definitive no!

Westworld was written by Michael Crichton, the same chap who later wrote Jurassic Park.

Futuristic theme park where the artificially engineered attractions go mad and attack the visitors - why give up on a successful formula?

In the case of the remake of Mad Max ... a definitive no!

Only an opinion but I'd beg to differ on that - I was pleasantly surprised by Mad Max - Fury Road, although Max played second fiddle to the vehicles and the other characters it has to be said. Certainly better than the first movie, which I only bothered to see once.

Not seen that, but I have seen too many re-makes.

But, and it is a BIG BUT, I think the re-make of Thomas Crown was seriously better. We have both on DVD, so I've done side by side comparisons.

I loved the original..... even though I didn't sleep all week afterwards!!!

Slight deviation if anyone interested, which of the worlds in the original Westworld would you funsters have gone to ..? I liked the Roman world.
