Minibus to Campervan!! Advice please (1 Viewer)

I have an Iveco 16 seat Minibus with no Seats except Drivers....

Ive just purchased after about a year of contemplating......It wasnt my choice but it fell in my lap and took a chance..

Only one thing...... As it has no Passengers carrying seats (as in minibus seats) ....

Can i insure it as a Van until conversion, obviously reclassing via DVLA as required and insuring it as motorhome after...

Welcome to the fun

Just check it wasn't registered as an ambulance
It just causes road tax problems

If it was an amby change it back to its original type
I.e. Panel van PSV or passenger van if you intend driving it
Before it's fully completed.
Or wait and When complete to DVLA requirments
then change to Motorcaravan

And after 5 posts you become read only £15 passed to @Jim
Makes you full member

On the V5 it says minibus Ive taxed it already and its all above board. Its just the insurance

The camper we have was regestered as a minbus and we had it insured with 2gether. We changed it with the dvla but it doesnt make any difference to price or cover.
