There is a fairly large car park at the RHDR station at Dungeness, opposite the lighthouse. We've seen a few MHs parked there

Check the weather forecast......if there is a southwesterly blowing up the channel then it will feel extremely bleak and exposed, even in summer.

Too true, the boss comes from Lydd we always take warm clothes when visiting family even in July.
Froze my feathers off when we visited during the train meet. Still enjoyed it though.

Hi,

Anyone have any experience or know if you park in Dungeness somewhere?

Cheers
There is, near the power station, a cafe. Not usual transport cafe type but just a daytime one. Nice food. I asked if I could park my moho overnight and yes for a fiver. Since then, Brit Stops so there's quite a choice.

I think the fish & chips at the Pilot Inn are much better
Hi Helen, I think the f&c at both is equally as good, but the Pilot feels like a production line full of coach loads of old codgers like us, so we prefer the atmosphere in the Brittania.

Quite happy to dine at either though if you're buying!(y)

Trouble with that is access is via the road opposite the little parking area , right at top of your picture , & which is for the fisherman only , so it says , & the barrier gets locked.
I have looked at it but have never bothered .

That would be the RDHR station cafe. (Which has just been refurbished this year.(y)

I believe you might need a key for the gate across the slip road, last time we were there is was locked and access for fishing club members only.

Join the angling club at Seagull tackle just down the road, this entitles you to a key for the barrier.
I never told you this
