Size matters !! know your dims. (1 Viewer)

Being new and not able to fully remember the size of my van I thought Im not taking any chances and wanted the dims visible at all times !!

I didnt want to stick up a scrappy piece of paper with sellotape. As I have facilities and can make and print onto aluminium I knocked up this for Vincent

Its stuck above my head with two tiny velcro spots. All neat and tidy

I have just spoken to the big cheese, he is happy for me to advertise these as kinda a one off. Im more than willing to pop a few quid in the charity tin depending on how many folk fancy one.

I will make up a for sale thread and we can take it from there but probably best for me is group buy, that way I can do them all in one run and it keeps Jim happy and me from not having to fire up the machine constantly !!

Briefly. The printing is done on coated aluminium in credit card size. The dims and name can be personalised ( obviously) but I could also add tyre pressures too if that helps ? Card would come with little velcro sticky spots for you to attach.

I think realistically id be charging £5 each. This would include first class postage and take into account my time and materials.

Any more interest before i post a FS post ?

On commercial vehicles it is the law and the letter size is most likely stipulated, this be what David is thinking.

The vast majority of motorhomes (under 3m) don't need a specified letter height, so I suppose the sun is still out on his parade

Thanks Martin, I have just been trawling back through old threads looking for the same

I am sure we decided the law says HGV over 3m must have a plate with certain text size and minimum plate size

there was some cloudiness as to whether this would extend to a PHGV

any warning is useful though, when I saw the thread title I presumed we were gong to get another reference to Rouen

That's a fair point Jim, I only raised the query with a ? to make sure others were aware

I also wonder how many MH's built under 3m now have a sat dome on top taking them over?
