Hi there .. Sandra is right I don't know sorry... I did have problems with it when I bought my van secondhand from a dealer .. I had months of correspondence with them to sort it out ... I can only think that it is probably under the side seat where I had a second leisure battery fitted. Bit confused in as to why you are asking the type.. can you not find yours or is it not working because of fuse problems or you need new type?

I should have kept on top of what they had done but there was so much stuff needed sorting I was mithered. @GJH can you help please?

I wouldn't have a clue either Joy, it's just the magic box in the side cupboard that's makes everything work.

If it is a 99 or 101 the solar connections feed straight through and don't control the charge so you can fit any dual output regulator or a single regulator with a solar split charge relay.

hi lenny if the solar goes straight through i assume theres no real need to go through the block and using a suitable solar controller i can go direct to battery
if i went via the block with a single pair from controller would the block distribute to both batteries leisure and hab?
would bypassing the block lose any functions?

We had our solar panel fitted by @dave newell lvs. He wired it (though a controller) into the solar connections on the Electroblock. It keeps the leisure battery topped up initially and then directs excess to the starter battery.

Exactly how mine is wired. The controller in our case is a schaudt LR1218 - some EBLs don't like some controllers apparently. The advantage of that set up is that it is simply plug and play

Our van has a standard PWM controller but I found this article with details of which Electroblocks are fussy (ours isn't).
Ours has worked brilliantly since being fitted in February 2012 (y)

Much easier to wire it via the Elektroblock, I original had the LR1218 but replaced it with a better MPPT regulator the one that @Techno recomends and a CBE solar split charge relay wired into the Elektroblock.
If your setup has the ability to show solar charge on the conrol panel you will loose that unless you use either Schaudt or Voltroix regulator.

any thoughts on the votronic mpp 250 duo which is considerable cheaper than the schault and has a cable kit for the ebl

No personal experience but many good reports on them, need to be computer savvy to set then up for the type of battery.

Anyone have experience with this? It's very cheap compared to the schaudt mppt.

Votronic kit is reputed to be good and in the past, Udo Lang of Schaudt has recommended the Votronic Battery Computer to me for connection to an EBL99 system. (I did not fit it in the end but that was purely a decision to live without one.) I would have no concerns about the Votronic regulator.

They must have started fitting the elektroblok on the later models then ? Our T 680 is an '05 model and has the Reich eBox fitted, LR 1218 went straight into it and shows the charge rate and syphons some off to the vehicle battery too.

Unless you have one of the sophisticated Elektroblocks (don't see them in modern vans) that regulate the solar charge I wouldn't fit an LR1218 as it just holds the batteries at a constant 14.2volts once charged. I ditched mine.

We have the mpp 350 duo. Been on 18 months and does a grand job.
Wired direct to the batteries and using aes output to power fridge when batteries are full.
Ebl 99, 2 x 110ah AGM, 360W solar.
Not used ebl output as I have a nasa bm1 which is more useful than the needle meter on the main control panel.
