Is anyone else going to the NEC?

We are booked into the temporary site for Wednesday/Thursday/Friday nights so will be in the show for much of those three days.

VW seems a bit overweight and might make scraping noises and attract THE traffic policeMAN if he sees it.

Saw one of those driving into a campsite in Carcassonne (we were in the Aire next door). Looked a mighty beast, but a bit too Paris brothel style for me -shiny shiny everywhere. Had Andorran plates on.
I don't like being pedantic BUT I doubt anybody has seen this before Dusseldorf, this one in the picture is currently their first and only vehicle and was shown at Dusseldorf show, from where it was going to Paris and then coming to London and the NEC before heading back to Switzerland for another show.

You might have seen a Concorde liner!

I know all this because a friend of ours is driving it from Paris to the NEC via London, he has a HGV licence.

I agree with you that you are being a bit pedantic!

I was referring to a large Morelo (which I had never heard of before) motorhome that looked very much like that model - may have been last year's model or a similar one for all I know. I was not cheeky enough to go up to it and have a very close look. And this was a week ago yesterday. And, as I said, it had Andorran plates on it so it was clearly one bought by a client.

OK "the devil is in the detail" as they say, there are a quite few Morelo's around but mainly on the continent BUT they would all be dwarfed by the "empire liner.

Martin

I should have added that Premium motorhomes in Bawtry are the UK agent for Morelo and will also be showing a Home a Loft and a Palace at the NEC.

We went today. We've normally gone on a Saturday and found it too busy but today was good and using the Caravan Club tickets was only £6 each.

We went really to view the air awnings but I'm still undecided. Had a good look around the Concords, liked the layout in the 7.9m Bailey, can't remember the model but it had a decent sized front lounge. But the van I was most impressed with was the new Lunar PVC. Looks really nice. Doesn't appear to have much storage space for your chairs awnings though.

Had a good look round a Rapido V55 recently, think it would be top of our list if we were to change from our coachbuilt. Defo worth a look.

Very impressed with the Bavaria vans. Why aren't they more popular over here?

Very impressed with the Bavaria vans. Why aren't they more popular over here?

Because they have only recently started selling them in the UK. To date only Oakwell Motorhomes in Barnsley retail them but that might change in the future.
