A friendly CCC warden told me that once over 60 its cheaper not to be in the club. Apparently the CCC give to all those over 60 a 20% discount but if you are a member the age concession is only 15% discount, plus you have paid membership. They do not allow one discount on top of the other.
So what are the benefits i.e. reduced costs to being a member if over 60?
Thanks

I would take that with a pinch of salt. According to the CCC web site, "We offer additional discounts to those members who are aged 60 and over" and it is 25%, not 15%.

Irrespective of that, members have access to THSs, rallies, the CS network and the other benefits mentioned on the page linked to.

I couldn't find anything on the CCC web site about non-member discount.

From what I understand you pay a premium price if you are NOT a member so cant see how that could be correct as a member myself and over 60 I get the discount and because I do use the c&cc extensively over the year my membership fees are negligible.. Roy

The C&CC have a peculiar pricing policy according the the classification of the site and the time of year but we find that there is a per person fee and a pitch fee and that if you are over 60 you get 25% of the per person fee. So if the listed per person fee is £8 and the pitch fee is £6 then you pay £18 (£8 less 25% =£6 x two people =£12, plus £6 pitch fee)

Also if over 65 and been a member for 25 years you get a 50% discount on the annual fee but its only off the paper membership so you have to throw their magazine in the recycle bin when it comes through the door.

And you have to remove the plastic wrapper before you throw the mag in the recycling - a real pain !!!

I would gladly opt out of receiving the mag but then would probably lose my 50% annual membership discount.
