Hi we have been invited to travel in my brothers moterhome. And stay in a cottage in France. Any advice on health insurance. For October over 70year age plusses health issues. Thanks in anticipation.

Age/health issues with Travel Health Insurance are no different in a motorhome to a package holiday, just as expensive unfortunately.

Try inputting details into one of the comparison sites and see what comes up. Also don't forget the EHIC card (issued free so don't "buy" it from anyone) - but you shouldn't rely on it as a replacement for proper travel insurance, though some do.

Give insure and go or Avanti a try I think later has extended age limits we generally go for single trip cover as it gives longer times away.(y)(y)(y)

Official EHIC page: http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcareabroad/EHIC/Pages/about-the-ehic.aspx

Do make sure you have an travel insurance AND an EHIC - as mentioned above the EHIC doesn't replace travel insurance, but also some insurance companies won't pay out unless you also have an EHIC (I guess because if you have an EHIC some of the costs are already met by the state).
