Not been before, but have booked Holyhead to Dublin on the fast boat (1 hour 40 minutes) but hellishly expensive £490 return using Tesco vouchers with Irish Ferries, I think one night at the CC site just south of Dublin then probably look for somewhere near Tipperary for a night then look for somewhere on the Dingle peninsula for 3 nights then back again, anybody got advice ?

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
No, sorry , we can't help.
But please post about your adventures. With pictures!
We want to go to Ireland , for the first time, next year. It looks so beautiful . Not many people seem to go because of the ferry costs. Saying France is cheaper.....
But whilst we are still working we are definitely going to go.

beginner, I don't like the newbie term
You are aiming to do a lot in a little time. I have met so many people here who had set out their journey on paper but when the got here the reality set in and they realised to do what they intended meant very long driving days with little or no stops. This may be the way you prefer to travel.
This website will help with campsites http://www.caravanandcampingireland.com
The motorhomecraic forum will help with everything else. There is an app available motorhome parking Ireland
Gas regulators and bottles are different here so come full. Diesel cheaper here so fill up this side. Alcohol off sales cheaper in the U.K.
Look up the wild Atlantic way it is amazing.
Have fun.

If you are going to Dingle you can stay at Paidi O Se's Pub at Church Cross on the R559 1.5km west of Ventry, Just intoduce yourself in the pub and stay in their car park. Food is very good as well.

Had a great time first night parked on Strand road Bray, a couple of miles south of Dublin, next two nights at a small site Cashel Lodge, overlooking The Rock of Cashel,Tipperary, for two nights then on to Killarney for two nights we did the Ring of Kerry(driving clockwise after the coaches) and a trip to Dingle, coming back past the Bay of Tralee back to Cashel for a night then on for a day in Kilkenny before the last night in Bray before the fast ferry back to Holyhead and home.
