At least it is when the fuel pump and fuel preasure regulator dies on a hairpin bend going up an alpine pass:eek:

Glad were not having to pay for the recovery and the diagnostics as well...thank gawd for van insurance..safeguard (who have been really good..along with the various parties they use)

Our bill will be around €1000 all in:sick:

Not so bad really...
would have been a fair bit more in the uk, and having looked at the bits that have come out it was going to happen sooner or later
And we are in a stunning part of the world in northern italy and its 26c and clear blue skies

One other bonus was recovery driver took us through the dolomites so i had a chance to admire the view

And got to witness italian lorry driver in action on mountain roads whilst he was texting, searching the web, calling is wife etc etc...quite interesting

Going to retract about the cost being more in the uk...B@$#!%&ds are trying to rip us off big time.
Still stuck at the garage waiting for another part (which id told them was the problem at 0750 yesterday morning!) which is 3x more expensive than anywhere else on the planet...and 13hrs labour sofar to do no more than 2hrs work.:mad::mad::mad:

They finally cottoned on yesterday afternoon that i know what im talking about with this engine and would appear i may know more about the fault than they do and im not a fiat trained proffesional...im not even a mechanic fer gawds sake!! Just have a copy of the fiat elearn manual on my laptop and know how to mess with engines:D

Been slightly frosty since especially as the aa have challenged the labour costs sofar on our behalf!!

Only problem now is they may hold us to ransom until the bill is paid. Which weve told AA that we belive they should sort that out and then bill us after...after all we didnt chose this garage, and to be fair they have said that if it comes to that then they could but theyll get a full report plus diagnostics from the garage first and then get one of their technical bods to look at it (which we requested) (y)

And weve got full evidence of when things were done on email from the garage. Even claimed they started work at 1630 on the 7th...we sidnt get here till 2030...and can prove it! they really are muppets:doh:

Now...should i trust their work:pray:

So if your ever in the italian tirol in a place called brunico dont use the gasser fiat/iveco specialist garage!

Yup...and they know thatvthat is what we are expecting. To be fair its actually the local italian aa agents who are being a bunch of numpties. Not exactly getting stuff sorted quickly! And aa europe lot have pretty much said that on a call...we did remind them that the calls are recorded.

The main aa euope lot have been very good

Yeah, but in uk id have been able tobcut it off at the quick very quickly
Whilst i have a smattering of german lingo(which is the 1st language up here), i have very little Italian and the sods are chopping and changing when they think i am following what they are saying!!!

Didnt like it when i went in yesterday afternoon with a written down fault finding piece, in german, to ask what they had done and changed on that list...all thanks to elearn manual..really put the wind up em(y)

Whilst its a pain in the arse, should be away this afternoon sometime over to austria again..one hopes
