So our short trip is back on (only 3 days) to France leaving tomorrow via Tunnel, we will be keeping to the Northern part of France mainly unless something comes up where we need to go. I could do with some nice site recommendations that people have used in the past. We have the asci book and camper contact app as well France Aires but it is always good to get some first hand experience from people who have stayed there.

Any suggestions are welcome :)

I'd suggest Camping Saint Claire at Neufchatel en Bray. Lovely site with an equally good Aire right next door. You could stay there for 2 nights and then stop at my favorite aire/town. Montreuil sur Mer on the way back.

Second Camping Saint Claire and we have stayed many times at Les Erables Cap Blanc Nez , just outside Calais , minutes from city Europe and nice walk down to the sea and headlands.

Another vote for Camping St Claire - it's an ACSI site and handy for very cheap fuel at E.Leclerc that you pass to get the site. Likewise Lidl and Aldi too. Town is nice and well worth exploring. And the location is only a very short distance off the A28 (free) autoroute. It's about 100 miles from Calais.

nowhere near long enough
Oi no need to drive so far, try La Fountaine at Montruel sur Mer, a nice typical French town with well restored walls with walks all around. There is a good supermarket five minutes drive away with lots of space for the biggest van and if you feel the need for a free aire then there is one near the bus station in the town
