First weekend away since the beginning of December and we have no gas. I changed both cylinders but the gas has been off since December.

I've turned on both cylinders and pressed the green button on the hoses. I've checked with a guage that both have lots of gas in them nothing at the hob, oven, fridge, or heating. How long does it take to purge all the air out of the pipes when there has been no gas for a few months.
It's a Carthago I149 just in case it makes a difference.

Currently sitting in a Britstop having a meal while worrying about no tea in the morning.

Shouldn't take more than a second or so to get gas coming through.
See above.....

Give the Reg a sharp tap with a block of wood or rubber mallet. Assume you checked all the isolation valves

Yes, I've checked all the valves so I'll attack it with a mallet between starter and main course.

Would recommend some restraint. Don't get carried away. Had the same issue during our tugger days and a sharp tap cured the problem for a few weeks.

Getting better month by month.
My regulator also has a purge valve on it. After the green button on the hoses, see if your regulator has a button as well.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
Sharp tap didn't work so phoned the dealer who talked me through a few checks before declaring the regulator knackered. We cut the weekend short and I'll take a trip to the dealers next week to get it changed under warranty. Really glad we decided on a weekend trip to check everything after the winter layup before heading to Chester for Easter.

Hi
Don't just change the regulator change the hose as well , propane gas eventually blocks up the rubber seals with a gooey tarry substance stops the flow of gas , so change hose ax well as it will be lined with this tarry substance as well , I had to do mine in old van , best of luck
