Just in case anyone hasn't seen this on the news and are travelling in the area, some villas have had to be evacuated. Travel safe everyone.

No. This area is north of Benidorm in the Alicante/Valencia region. We are further south in Murcia. BUT we do have the Sierra Espuña directly behind our house and the trees there are getting very dry. The Forestals do a good job clearing undergrowth from alongside the roads to try to prevent fires starting but if one starts that will be a disaster.

I hope not ,you were desperate for rain months ago , it's obviously like tinder. Fingers crossed they put out the fire ASAP and one doesn't start near your place.

It's quiet a way from Benidorm... Still very bad news for people there
