Why?? wont my lap top recognise my Printer (1 Viewer)

I have used this printer (Epson 110sx ) for years with my lap top but after an update from MSM (happens every week) it will not work even though it shows as the default printer. Any of you clever people tell /instruct me. NO rude comments please

Re start the laptop
Or if that doesn't work
Delete the printer and re install

Suggest you roll the laptop back to a previous version before the MSM update and see if it then works, if so it's the update that's the problem so turn of automatic updates unless there's something you really need them for but in that case you might find you're printer becomes unusable again.

On a more serious note, find the printer in Control Panel. Right click on the printer and there are lots of things there to try.
Also try to send a 'test' page.

Are you connecting the 2 devices wirelessly (i.e. over your home network) or with a cable?

As @Yorick says, does the printer show up in the control panel?
I'm not sure what an "MSM update" is.

What operating system are you using on your laptop. If its windows what version is it?

Are you confusing MSN update with an actual Windows update ?
Windows may have updated and now does not recognise the printer as new drivers are needed..
Windows 10 took out my old but good webcam and there is no updated driver so lost it. .

Hi all, I have removed the printer from the lap top and will try to reinstall it A pop up comes up and asked to be installed but with my fear of these contraptions I don't so I will see what happens next time it appears and wreck the thing. This will happen in a few days as we are going to LLandudno area for a couple of days

Had a similar problem just the other day. Reintroduced them by connecting with a cable then removed cable and they had settled their differences and have been working well together since. Otherwise its off to counselling.
