August bank holiday always feels like the end of the summer to me. It's only a week or so afterwards that the kids go back to school, not that that matters to us any more as ours are grown up. It's often when we start planning our winter hols and skiing trips too, so I just wondered what everyone else does, where you're going, etc

We're off to Skipton with Ribblesdale BCC for the annual festival of lanterns. Staying on a farm within walking distance into the town, which is a lovely place. Hoping that the weather is good but even if it's not it won't spoil our fun.

Generally stay at home to avoid all the traffic unless we're away already at a quiet inland part of the country. Definately keep well way from the coast.

I'm working the whole Bank Holiday weekend - back to back guided tours. But work starts at midday so I'll be getting some Car Boot Sale buying in first.

Presently on holibobs in Wales (must be Wales cos we is surrounded by hills and moist sheep), back on Friday morning to pick up the Racecar for our final weekend of hillclimb nonsense and fun.
