The wind will pick up on Friday around four in the afternoon. Hope you are on an early crossing.

Edit. No that's the Plymouth forecast, you will be OK at Portsmouth until Saturday.

That's the fast, catamaran type ferry. Believe me, you wouldn't want to be out in that in anything above a Force 6. The other routes use more traditional hull shaped vessels that ride heavy seas a lot better.
