I have had numerous kind funsters hunting for the fuse for the retractable step on my 2005 Hymer B584. We've searched the Electroblock, under the step, behind the fridge, under the kitchen sink, in the bonnet.

Has anyone got any ideas? It would be so nice to have a functioning step again!

On our Exsis there is an in line fuse on the positive cable near the battery we have an EMS3-3 step control module so may be different.

I have a 2005 B584. The fuse for the step (and the light above the door) is fourth from the left on the EBL99. There is no other fuse in the circuit.

Do you mean the awning light or the light that's inside above the door?
I'm sure that the internal light works (and I think the awning one does as well), however there is no power at the wall switch for the step. Could this suggest that the switch is faulty? Mind you the step won't retract using the button on the dashboard either.

I seem to be getting more and more confused!

The light that is inside above the door. The wiring diagram supplied by scotjimland doesn't apply (to mine anyway) in that there's no buzzer or dashboard switch but there is a simple relay unit under the cooker.

On an EBL99 or EBL100 it's the 25 amp fuse, second from the left (counting from the main switch) marked 'Grundlicht / Trittstufe'.

Lift up the bonnet and in the centre there is black plastic cover held on with two small nuts, Take off the cover and you will fine a small fuze box, Check the fuzes.
