I am now just below Lisieux at Vimouttiers (Normandy)(N48'55.907' E000'11.762')............if anybody is interested the site is free, the water is free, and the electric is free all-be-it you have to keep pressing the button every hour to keep the power on...and I have got full strength on a un-secured wifi......(although you have keep waiting for them to switch there live box on)..so that is free.......weather is mixed rain / cloud.......stopped at Veulettes-sur-mer yesterday from mid day till this morning and nothing but heavy rain.

Will be heading south tomorrow to just below Le-Mans to a site called La-Suze-sur- Sarthe for the night.

Thanks for the info,we are doing Normandy in Jan on our way back to Spain.

it is a big site and there is water around the perimeter about 8 to 10 taps so you do not have to go far for the water

That sounds like a great spot, we are back over in November so we may visit.

We stayed at La Suze in July, lovely spot by the river and a nice little town over the bridge. The machine was broken too so it was also a freebie incl elec.

NO its taken us three days to get just below Le Mans..1st site was on the Normandy coast....we are now at la Suze sur Sarthe.... (on a un-secure web site) 3 Euros for the site, free electric, free water and now on a wifi site (2 in range)...we do about 110 to 150 km per day/ or each time we move from one site to another depending how many days we stop on one site.....

Hi Vanessa and Dave yes it is a great site shame the machine has been mended but we call here quite often on this site...it is so nice ....but at 3 euros free water free electricity and now into free wifi (2 unsecured sites in range) moving further south tomorrow......

Sounds great, will make a note. Imagine something like this being available in UK. I think not. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Mel,

They tried 3 times to mend the machine while we were there to no avail but as you say at 3 euros we wouldn't complain either.

We are back to France at the beginning of November for 6 weeks, so you never know our paths may cross. Apart from really far south in the summer holidays fellow Brits were a bit of a rarity on our previous trip.
