Spanish gas bottle hose (1 Viewer)

Hi, I am getting all the bits and bobs for our forthcoming trip to Spain and have just bought a Spanish gas butane bottle and a jumbo connector now I am I right in thinking that a 21.8 LH hose is the right size to go from adapter on bottle to bulkhead regulator.

Yes, my jumbo adapter has 21.5LH thread same as calor butane cylinder. Other end of hose to go on bulkhead regulator is std 20mm . Mine is on propane cylinder but am 99% sure butane is the same.

Yep, its a left hand thread, ie to tighten up its the opposite way to "normal" threads which are right hand threads.

I was not questioning the LH thread but the diameter. You stated 21.5 but I believe it is 21.8

YES, you are correct, they are in fact 21.8. Sorry but I must engage brain before leting mouth ( or fingers) out. Its good to be put right or else people will be hunting for wrong item that probably has never been made!

why do you have different hose thickness for different gasses. Only in that I have used propane and butane, English, Spanish and Portuguese, all on one hose. Is this dangerous or ok?

Hi, camperlove its not the hose that is different it is the size of the nut on each end as nearly every different country has a different connection shape and design to suit their own bottles.

if you talking about the regulator, then I have a different one for each 3 bottles, but the hose stays the same. Am I doing it right only in that the op asked about the hose size. Im wondering why ask unless there is different sizes.
