being BL**DY cold last week, perhaps 5C at night to 39C during the day this week. Tomorrow being the hottest...CANICULE time..

Take care!!!

Our MH has been moved down the garden into the shade of a big oak, in June the same garden was under water after all the rain...

The weather is all mixed up...

Well at the moment inside the van it is 41,
We are sat outside under the awning with a bucket of cold water and flannel to douse ourselves!
When are the cool sea breezes scheduled to arrive please?

I agree, just resting at Condom a cold glass of rosé at my elbow, yes it is warm BUT I LIKE IT tomorrow I will fix my bits and sadly head North towards that "temperate climate" they kept filling our heads with when I was a kid.

Roll on retirement, I can cope with this!

Two hours operating the bloomin' gate!!! Now inside the house where it's all dark due to all shutters shut , but it's all cool.... while JJ is cycling to the supermarket...

Everything feels worse when it is so hot....In 2009 we picked up a new (for us) car which broke down in Orleans on May Day, it was 35C and we stood on a street corner for hours waiting for a recovery truck with everything closed...and another hour or two for a taxi to take us to a car hire office for our replacement car..

Hope your repair in the end is as simple as ours was all though years ago!

Yes, the very same. Just to add to our woes, my brother who is having treatment for lung cancer, has just been told that one of his kidneys is kaput as well, life ain't fair sometimes.

Well our thermometer tells me it's 29° in and 23° out. At this time of night! Apologies to the sun worshippers but I hope it doesn't get much hotter.

@Ven Unfortunately , I 've got to tell you you'll have to suffer the hottest day today. Going up to 40° in some places in West France. I've opened all the windows at 5.30 to try and get some cool air in so that Little Rosie can have her afternoon nap without suffering the heat.

As soon as the sun will show up .... shutters and windows will be closed.

Fan is on already so the cool air goes everywhere....

Don't forget to drink a lot of WATER (hot tea is good as well!), forget about alcohol, white clothes on and keep your hat on!
