i want to make american corn dogs but....

anyone know where to buy yellow cornmeal.
do the major supermarkets stock it.
couldnt find it in sainsbury's today.

Isn't this the stuff carp fishermen use to make boilies or whatever they call them?
Sounds a bit dodgy to me. Think i'll stick to good old british food like Chicken Tikka Biryani and Vindaloo sauce.

I believe you can get a fine polenta if you look around.

Walmarts stock it. We bought some in the USA and made some lovely Bread.

Blisters is quite correct IT IS Polenta. I have used it to make cornbread to accompany chilli

In the UK, is it not known as maize meal ?

Polenta is an Italian name for a meal made from grounded corn or maize meal.
