Jane is always telling:rolleyes: asking me to unplug the hook up lead when we're at home as it's making her migraines worse:( The lead runs from back garden shed down the side alley then into the van, I have heard people don't like to live near or under Pylons due to the electrical currents but a single hook up lead shortly not, maybe i'm wrong and could it be true ?

I would not live under pylons. This is not the street i am on about but i remember reading about another street where pylons ran down the middle of a grass area in teh street and some 40% of the residents ended up with cancer. Now i am sure they found no evidence of this but tin foil hat says Hmmm

Another street

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/local-news/cancer-fear-over-pylons-2611831#MrHaKVVu6xbxHO78.97

FWIW my father inlaw lived under one and died from cancer.

Sorry to hear that it affects Jane . I read a blog on here about a funster who converted his own van as it seriously affected him . I think his was micro waves or something. I can't find his blog or remember his name. But he was travelling with his girlfriend to get away from hotspots in Europe. So I'm sure electricity can affect people too.
Hopes she feels better soon.

Living the dream.
I agree about the pylon theory as there are zillions of volts flying through the air but a 230 volt shielded cable won't leak nowt.

Hi.
Nice post,a friend is suffering from very bad migains here in porty, she has tried everything,i suggested Radon gas? from granite.
BUT,their neighbours have just had a huge multi panelled Solar panel rig, that also tracks the sun,so will check that out now. Hope you get it sorted, and thanks for the post, worth exploring.

I think Jane just wants you to tidy the lead away. What about putting one of those plugs in the front of the house and just plugging the motorhome into that?

If he was welsh i think his problem was working with mobile phones for years and even wi/fi effected him. Sounds horrible to live with but he did not half make a good job with a luton van self build.

Cornwall, parts of Devon & some parts of Wales seem to have the some of the highest Radon readings in the U.K. for some reason.

I remember the guy who was driving off to escape mobile phone signals. I didn't comment at the time because it wouldn't have helped but put simply, it was all imaginary. High voltage power lines are a bit different and I wouldn't like to live under one, if only because of the noise especially when it's damp, but again I'm not aware of any trials or surveys which have shown any link.

It's from the underlying rock but the threat is from a radioactive gas which emits charged particles. The risk is well understood. Very different from electromagnetic radiation.

I think Jane is politely telling you she would like to sell up and move some where else... :giggler:

Done it myself for 22 moves in just over 50 years of marriage..

Excuses ranged from Migraine to Viagra don`t work living here, to the Cockerill in the farm 4 miles away was keeping me awake....

And the blonde newly wed bimbo living opposite her shrieks some night`s made my Horlicks go cold...

Move @ROB1CHELSEA1 it`s the only way.......
