Bit cloudy here in Millau today. Was very hot yesterday but a nice breeze. Forecast for next few days ok, but we are moving tomorrow a bit west to the Ardeche for a few days. Forecast good except for next Thursday.

Don't go home, go South. :sun:

Forecast really BAD for Brittany! It's going to rain in a few hours the equivalent of a month rain! Floods announced , so take the right decision: back home or down south est (Toulouse is under the rain too!)

Dryish in Tuscany at the moment but still unsettled and likely to stay that way until next week.

It was wetter yesterday.

Well, so far this trip we have seen petrol stations closed, been stuck behind tractors and trailers stopping all traffic, we are near Tours and the rain has started.. In all fairness, just had 5 days at Parc Verger with beautiful weather and good company. Got the awning up before the rain, so quite sorted.

Why not just bugger off East to Italy or somewhere where the weather is. Its a motorhome you are in or a static?

When are you and Mrs C off to Switzaland? Or have I missed the 'goats and fondue thread.?!

Goats and fondue?
Sounds like some wired satanic ritual

Tunnel is booked for 24th June
Destination is fluid at the moment as Mrs C doesn't 'do' rain and the weather forecast for Central Europe is looking pretty shabby

Working on plan 'B'

Maybe Croatia, Greece, Portugal or Northern Spain

Wherever the sun is - we will follow

If you do decide on Switzerland I'd recommend Interlaken we spent 3 days there and the place is stunning with loads to do and see, or just outside at Grindlewald loads of resturants to try.
Just spent the day in Geneva and Mrs C would love the Prada shops although your wallet might think differently.
We're currently in a lovely site at Neydens France just 10 mile from Geneva.

The forecast looks OK for next week according to the BBC at least in southern France and Italy. But it has changed before when they have been forecasting that far ahead. Probably all depends on the magic rabbit foot the Met Office seem to be using because other websites say this unsettled weather will continue all next week.

Been in Benicassim Spain for 2weeks after switching from planned stays in France after consulting www.weatheronline.co.uk If you consult its expert charts you get a good picture of future weather 10 days in advance

I'm hoping that the Switzerland trip does come off, as I've spent the best part of a year planning. Started off with the Grand Tour of Switzerland map and found campsites etc close to the top places that we wanted to visit, including Interlarken.
It's just down to the weather now - and if we miss Switzerland this time, we'll go another time

Here's a cracking little site for your Switzerland little black book.
Weggis, on Lake Luzern. Farm Camping. Site at:
47.03886, 8.41447. Turn off at 47.03656, 8.41707.
Walk down to village, lake, and boat station.
A bit like a CS/CL but at CH prices.

Had one for 5 years many moons ago. Now starting again.
This has to be the strangest spring/summer weather wise I can remember.
Not only did the cold stay for a long time it was up and down like a yo-yo.
And the rain has been incredibly fierce at times, you can get a massive downpour in one place and not a drop two miles down the road.:(
Most of Europe seems to be equally unpredictable and erratic.
Knowing how "averages" become just that it will probably go to Sahara temperatures shortly and we'll all be praying for some rain.

Had intended to head for Mimizan Plage after an aire stopover but with the weather prospects we really feel like heading for home.
Feels so defeatist though!
