I now have my Snipe 2 on the roof of the MH and wondering what sort (make) receiver would be best to use with it. Any suggestions would be most helpful. :)

Would have thought what sort / make of receiver you need depends what you want to watch?
Free UK channels - a Freesat box (or a free to air box)
Free and Pay UK channels - A Sky box
Other European countries free channels - a free to air box.

Thank you @Satandpcguy I should have said, it is mainly for Europe as the UK is no problem. So I guess what you are saying is any old free to air box will do.

Thanks again.

I cannot guarantee that it is "best", but I have gone for the Humax HB-1000S for use with my Snipe 2. The reasons for my choice were:
  • Decodes HD broadcasts
  • Works off 12volts (though you will need to make or buy an extra cable)
  • Small and light - I have fixed mine vertically in the end of locker
  • Works as a PVR when you add on a USB drive
So far I have not been disappointed!

Remember if it is for watching UK channels in Europe, it is not the receiver that is the issue, it will be the size of dish....which may be too small to receive the channels you want in the countries you want to use it in.
But if it is for European channels around Europe, then FTA is fine.
But note that note all European countries channels are available for free via satellite, many are encrypted on satellite (eg France) , many require subscription (eg Spain). Which is when a terrestrial aerial comes into play to watch TV in the country you are in.

Thank you for all the very good info, I may of course carry a spare receiver for 907 but most of the time the satellites that are pre programmed may well be enough.
