Our Sky+ HD box goes in one of the wall cupboards in the MH, connecting to the TV by HDMI cable. Does anyone know if we can fit a magic eye so that we can close the cupboard door open and still connect the sky handset to the digibox?

Hope this may help. From a quick check, it seems to work the way you want. Give feedback if it does work as I have the same snag where my skybox will be in the TV cupboard and not in "line of sight" easily.

I wanted similar for set top box. Needed a usb power supply but works fine. Used rubber band to hold red eye transmitter ( the small bit) over receiver on set top box, larger bit is on show and plug usb into power supply ( 12 v socket with usb adapter in my case)

The sky+ app is really good for using it as a remote control. Record programs, enter channel number manually, change channel via the tv guide and play any of your recordings although it will need to be connected to wifi for all features.
