Difficult to see from the photo but is one side of the crack lower than the other?
If it's level then colourfill will fix it, just a case of rubbing some of the colourfill into the crack until it's filled and then cleaning off the excess with the solvent that's supplied with it.
If one side of the crack is lower than the other then it could be difficult to get a decent looking repair, as said the plastic surgeon will do a decent job if not then perhaps remove the worktop and laminate over the entire worktop with another piece of laminate and just clean off the edges

Yes one side is lower than the other unfortunately:(
You can buy sheets of laminate on EBay but I'm not confident on removing the cooker and fridge

both items will only be screwed back, I've never taken one out but you'd hope there would be enough flex/ pipe to allow removal before disconnecting, could be you could just pull both out to get to worktop.
Best to get it done professionally though if you're not sure, good luck with it.

Anyone have details please?

Thanks

Keith Hart

Hi Keith
The compound is called colourfill, it's a jointing compound for jointing kitchen worktops but can be used for repairs, any DIY outlet that sells worktops will stock it.
