Drill a 10mm hole in the seat base of the drivers seat base ( push the seat forwards)

Security chain through steering wheel round back of seat heavy duty padlock though chain links and hole

It will not stop them getting in but it will be hard work ( and very visible ) trying to get the chain off

Which gave me an idea..

I have an old security chain and heavy duty padlock for a factory gate.. I used it for the bikes at one time.. hence the gafa tape.

.. it's a heavy beast ..

Already have a strikeback alarm and extra door locks.. this is just another obstacle to slow down the scrotes..

highly visible.. hopefully they move on..

it goes around the steering shaft ..

If you have them, padlocking swivel drivers seat in the reverse position is cheap & effective too
That's exactly what I do. A heavy duty bicycle lock enables me to secure the seat and it's impossible to rotate and so the vehicle can not be driven. No messing with chains and padlocks.

If you use a padlock on the seat ensure there is a minimum gap. The big D lock cycle padlocks are the perfect size for a little hydraulic bottle jack to fit inside the "U". It then takes moments to break open the lock.

I don't know if this will work on Ford front ends which are taking a hammering right now but,
We have drilled through the lip of the door cover where the 'pop up button' emerges. The hole then goes through the button slightly offset to avoid the metal centre. Through this hole we insert a rivet (unused).
The result is that the key (or the scrotes equipment) cannot open the door as the 'pop up' is held down.

Whatever system you use, always park with full lock on, left or right. Makes it harder to drag the mh onto a trailer....;)

I don't know - what do you lot have on there to nick that's worth all this effort and Don't you have insurance? How do you get out in an emergency? There seems to be a large potion of neurosis and how do you stop'em breaking a window? I always manage to lock the doors and turn on the alarm. Safe as houses?
