Has anyone used old corner steady"s off a c/van to level their van? Seems like a good cheap way.

corner steady"s

clue is in the name.. they are not jacks..

steadies are fitted on many motorhomes as standard and can also be retro-fitted ..

These units are solely designed to steady the vehicle (to avoid rocking when people are moving around in the vehicle), they're not designed or robust enough to use to lift the vehicle clear of the ground, like when changing a wheel.

Since 2008 & many years tugging
Also Motorhome ones are designed to flick up if you accidentally drive off with them down.

They are steadies, not jacks.
Mine also act as skids when boarding a ferry, they make a lovely
deep grinding noise!

Got rear steadies fitted on the Bailey (official Al-Ko ) , you don't realise how good they are until you pitch up on a steep pitch and you can't utilise them !
