We have booked DFDS ferry from Newhaven, Dorset.
Does anyone have information/recommendation for a overnight stop or campsite that is local
or handy for this ferry terminal.
Thanks

I was born in Dorset and the Newhaven you want is not there - you need the one in Sussex, East of Brighton. I will be there Thursday night 26th and hope to be able to park at the terminal. Catching the 0830 boat on Friday 27th.

Cheers Clive

Never used it myself but have been told that they re pretty relaxed about overnighting on the port.

Hopefully someone will be along soon to confirm/deny

Last time we used that ferry was way back in 1997. We had a caravan and stayed at a Caravan Club CL, just a few minutes drive from the port..

But just checked and they have a two night minimum stay at £14 per night.. so probably not what you want..

You can overnight by the fort which is next door to the ferry. £3 for motor home.
