We've run out of the stuff we brought and can't find any more. There's no camping shops here.
Been told that we can use bio washing powder but none of the labels show them as bio ???

Any help or ideas?

TIA :)

you dont need it just dont put anything other than toilet waste in . thats the best way. and dont wash the inside of cassette out let bacteria work for you. takes awhile but it works .

Thanks to Ambilkate??? we have gone onto Fabric Conditioner from Lidl.
£1.99 in the UK. €1.99 in France.
As she said when telling me, It doesn't get a chance to work (Blue) in the three days you have it in the cassette before you empty it.
The fabric con. does kill the smell. We use two plus capfuls and it does the trick.

Looked in Lidl but none are actually labeled as bio. Or am I being thick?

Yes, I looked for bio washing liquid in Spain, too, and couldn't find any in Aldi. Lidl or Mercadona. I did find some Ariel, though, which I know is bio. So I bought some of that.
Think I might try the fabric conditioner idea next time.

I seem to remember reading on here that all Spanish washing liquids were bio unless stated otherwise?
We use 2 caps of washing liquid and 1 cap Calgon in our 170 litre black tank.

all i can say is try it if it doesnt suit you then go back to what ever . it may take a couple of weeks . mind its best not to pee in toilet its that that makes the smell.
and only empty when nearly full . you can buy a bidet type thing for ladies to use it sits on the seat then tip into bucket ,bottle etc .

Agree with Denisejoe, any clothes washing liquid that has Active, Actif or similaaar is bio, or so my interent search on the ingredients tells me. We have been using it for two years and it seems to do the the same as a UK labeled Biological product.

Oh perrrleease, what a lot of effort to empty ya pee when you have empty ya cassette anyway. Why have two horrible containers to empty when one unpleasent emptying is enough!?

Where do you empty your wee filled bottles?

in the toilets or in a sanieamento. its just the pee that makes the smell.
i tried it years ago it works . i know a few that have the bidet arrangement .
i dont have it as i travel by myself these days .
you could top a bucket with grey water and tip where you tip that.
mind french and spanish would just pee in the hedge usually.
its about not having a smell and not spoiling sewage works etc . sometimes life isnt simple .
having been used to loading tankers full of sewage and emptying them . i dont find emptying a cassette that bad . ha ha .
i also drove tankers with milk . we always washed out after carrying milk but hardly ever washed out after carrying sewage . hee hee.

Try a local ironmongers "ferreteria". I asked in pigeon Spanish for the blue water for the camping toilet and they produced a bottle!

We've used bio liquid for years - our loo rarely smells and we can dump our black waste in many more places than if we had used blue chemicals.

The big campsites sell it too, they had it prominently displayed behind reception at camping eden in peniscola when we were there earlier in the week
