This faire named Holy Cross of Lessay (France) was created in 987 ! From 1000 years many farmers and peasants from west of France go to Lessay. Now During 3 days 450 000 persons come to visit and make business ! Here some pictures, I hope that you will interested even though it is not trucks campers. I took many pictures of horses, in French mind, the American people love the horses !

Now after horse market it is time to eat something ...
Do you want some bred ???
Link Removed Link Removed

With bred you need a good meat, the tradition requests a lamb of 'salt meadow', the hight tides each month cover the grassy and give an extraordinary taste to the meat ! on 900 (and more ..) yards on your right you have this ...
Link Removed Link Removed

And on your left you have this... bon appétit
Link Removed Link Removed

After coffee and a "little" Calvados (apple alcohol) served in the still hot cup you go to the competition of the best cows (for the standard of the breed)

Pleasure it well, but you need a new materials , maybe a tractor ?
Link Removed Link Removed

You have just cost anyone logging on by dongle a fortune and anyone commenting has to either spend ages deleting all your images or they make things even worse by duplicating the images.

The way to do it is create an album - go into Media Galery, Albums and Create a New Album, this way those on dongles don't accidentally get stung with a huge bill.

Quite sight, once we used to have loads of these in GB but not much now.

Gosh, what an amazing show. We were in Lessay on the Wednesday (the 9th) and guessed something big was being set up. We were impressed with the aire there and would have stayed but wanted to 'get on' to meet a friend further north.

Thank you for posting the pics.

Wow that does look huge....love the horses, I'd finish up bringing another home:winky:

Guess you had a brill day there, or two.

We have something like this in Montendre each year - this year 11th + 12 November, all the roads closed traders from all over, farm machines, anything and everything, must take a full day to go round, but not so many horses, think last year only about 30 or so, lots of other animals.

Will be there this year, looking for a mate for "Bobby"
